SVS Ltd. can carry out routine maintenance and repairs to all types of electro-pneumatic smoke ventilation systems. Our engineer’s are fully trained to use MEWP’s and roof safety lines with harnesses. Engineer’s carry common pipework and fittings for normal repairs. Major parts like rams, springs, solenoids and manifolds can be ordered quickly. Where systems are unserviceable and require replacement new vents and controls can be specified to meet your sites requirements based on a fire strategy, local fire officer and insurance companies requirements.

When are electro-pneumatic systems used?

Electro Pneumatic Smoke Ventilation systems are most suitable for large commercial buildings such as warehouses and shopping centres. These systems should have a duplex air compressor to supply the controls and vents. Our engineer’s are used to working on vents that operate ‘spring-open, pressure-close’, ‘pressure-open, spring-close’ and even ‘pressure-open, pressure-close”. SVS require the design philosophy plus cause & effect for a site to confirm if vents should open automatically or manually for smoke control or smoke clearance purposes.
