Smoke Vent Systems To Begin IFCC Accreditation

Smoke Vent Systems is pleased to announce that they are signing up with IFCC Ltd to start their accreditation as an installer of smoke control systems, which we will be starting in March 2020. The IFCC are a part of the IFC (International Fire Consultants) Group, and are an internationally recognised and UKAS accredited provider of third party certifications. Their certification is a quality assurance to our customers that all of our products and installations are performed to the highest possible standard. This will provide peace of mind to all of our clients, who can rest assured that all of our installations have been carried out using only properly certified and tested products, which have been installed to the highest standard by a highly skilled installer.

Our first goal will be to achieve SDI 19 – “Requirements for contractors installing smoke control systems”. This will include the verification and inspection of fire strategy verification, system design and installation of smoke control systems, the assessment and verification of the quality control system, competency assessment of individuals (as listed in the company’s client secure section of the IFCC website), and continuing surveillance including random site audits.
